About Project
ELEVATE is a partnership of six organisations in five countries. Together they train youth workers, and those youth workers then train young people in their own communities.
The training uses non-formal learning: practical, hands-on sessions outside the classroom. Topics include entrepreneurship, green skills, personal competencies and finding work in the digital world. Every training is shaped to fit the needs of each partner country.
The project also helps young people meet employers, so that new skills can turn into jobs and businesses.

Trainings
Youth mobility exchanges bring people from Africa and Europe together. Each country hosts one piece of the work.
Hope 4 Life Uganda joined partners from five countries for a joint workshop on one big question: what does entering the job market look like for young people in today's digital world?
We explored it through lectures, case studies, data analysis, co-design sessions, site visits and conversations across countries.

Employment Potential in a Digital World
A session on AI
One of sessions shed light on both the potential and the risks of AI.
Bringing it home
The learning does not stay in the workshop rooms. Parterners who took part return to their communities and use the new training modules with young people.

What ELEVATE wants to achieve
Make young people more employable and more empowered, through learning that includes everyone and encourages active roles in society.
Build the skills of youth workers so they can deliver high-quality non-formal education that improves employability and encourages entrepreneurship.
New training programmes
Design and run training on entrepreneurship, green skills, personal competencies and digital employment, tailored to each partner country.
Training that spreads locally
Equip trained youth workers to repeat the programmes in their own communities and reach many more young people.
Jobs and businesses
Help participating young people find employment or start their own enterprises after the training.
Useful publications
Work across borders to produce three publications that youth workers and young people can use as practical resources.
We explored it through lectures, case studies, data analysis, co-design sessions, site visits and conversations across countries.
